Stomach Abs Workouts: For Razor Sharp Abs
We have eight muscle groups in our body: chest, biceps, triceps, back, shoulders, legs, hips and abdominal muscles. You can build up all the other muscle groups, but without a set of sexy, washboard 'abs', that perfect body is just incomplete. Ask any bodybuilder and they'll tell you that getting perfect abdominal muscles isn't child's play. But with proper training and nutrition, you can have those awsome 'abs'.
Let us first throw some light on the anatomy of abdominal muscles. Composed of four separate muscle groups (namely 'Rectus Abdominis', 'Transversis Abdominis', 'Internal Obliques' and 'External Obliques'), the abdominal muscles can be made prominent by following a well designed workout regime and nutrition program. It is disheartening to admit that most of the people don't have a clue about how can one develop well defined 'abs'.
Unfortunately, abdominal workouts alone won't give you well-sculpted 'abs', no matter how regularly or intensively you do them. Crunches and other exercises designed to target the abdominal muscles simply don't allow to you obtain the body fat percentage which is necessary for washboard 'abs'. The decrease in body fat can only be achieved through hard work and proper diet.
Well defined 'abs' need work. You need to train daily without fail. You must drink plenty of water to develop abs that are in good shape. However, it is important to lose the belly fat. If fact, it is often the first and foremost step towards those razor sharp abs. So how to you lose the belly fat? The answer? Cardio-exercises! Things like jogging, running, skipping rope, cycling and swimming will all achieve excellent results.
